Step-by-step guide on how to use this application system
For PhD, Intern, and PostDoc Positions:
- Create an account / log in if you already have one
- Head over to the Profile tab
- Select the position you are applying for and click on "Save Changes"
- Interns only: If you are already receiving funding, check the box and click on "Save Changes"
- Add your recommender's e-mail address and click on "Add Recommender"
- Add as many recommenders as you want
- Click the "Send E-Mail" button for each recommender (this will send an automated message to the entered e-mail address)
- If your recommender has uploaded their recommendation letter, the button will be green and no longer usable
- Upload the required files and click on "Upload Files" (can be done all at once or one by one)
- The documents have to be PDFs with a maximum size of 10 MB
- Uploading a new document will overwrite the old one
- Head over to the Application tab to check the status of your application
- You can see when you last uploaded a file
- You can download your uploaded files
- You can be notified via e-mail when a recommendation letter gets uploaded (Setting in the "Profile" tab)
- If all required files are present you can send the application (this can only be done once)
- You will be notified via e-mail once your application has been reviewed

For Master's Applications:
- Head over to the Master's Application tab
- Fill in your details
- Enter your desired topics in order of preference (top to bottom)
- Enter a topic either from the Google Document (that has been sent out via e-mail) or suggest your own topic
- Choose the type of the project (Master's Thesis, IDP, or Guided Research)
- Select the advisor specified in the Google Document from the list
- If you chose your own topic: Specify what it is about in more detail in your motivation letter and select your preferred advisor

- Your chosen advisors will reach out to you via e-mail
- If all of your desired topics get rejected, someone else from our lab might still reach out to you and offer you another topic
